Warriors owner Joe Lacob reveals desire to purchase MLB's Angels

Owner of the Warriors Joe Lacob appears to be diversifying his business ventures outside of the NBA.

Lacob acknowledged on Thursday that he is looking into purchasing the Los Angeles Angels. Lacob has previously shown an interest in purchasing an MLB team.

On the most recent episode of "The TK Show" with Tim Kawakami of the Athletic, Lacob stated, "It's been reported that we're looking at it, and that's accurate."

"I'm not yet sure what we're going to do. I spent seven years selling peanuts there; I grew up there, so it holds a small amount of appeal for me.

The stadium was a mile away from my home. That stadium has existed for a very long period. It has always seemed to me to have a lot of potential.

"L.A. has a huge market, and it includes this market. And in 17 of the last 20 years, I believe, they have attracted more than three million admirers.

We'll have a look at it, but since it's not co-located as, say, a neighbourhood baseball club might be, it wouldn't be the easiest thing in the world to do. But that may be feasible. We'll see, then.

Keep your cool Lacob made it clear to Dub Nation that the Warriors and winning the NBA championship once more this year are his top priorities.
