Galloway was discovered at his residence during a welfare check, according to numerous accounts.

From 1999 through 2002, Galloway was an Alabama player who amassed 1,830 running yards and 17 touchdowns. As a junior, he enjoyed his greatest season.

Galloway was subsequently chosen by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Before his retirement, he played professionally for a while.

After his playing days were over, Galloway started teaching English at Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri.

Susan Reid, the principal of Compton-Drew Middle School, made a statement regarding the unfortunate news affecting Galloway.

"Since nothing was disturbed at Ahmaad's flat, we're speculating that it might have been a medical problem."
